I, too, always get ill. My system is attacked by any and all germs and bugs, so I mask. And I'm aiming for the opposite of what you suggest! Less flying, as the time and flood of issues--from delays and cancelations to the crappy fellow passengers flinging their hair and voices all over the place--is too much. Good thing that we had traveled a good deal before moving and a great deal when first living here that we've experienced a lot of what NEEDS to be experienced and can now drive to the many wonderful places across Portugal and Spain. But we try to be flexible to avoid the horrendous fall and spring dust storms and pollen. Try to. Thanks for sharing, and maybe renting a car can give you a better experience?

Actually, Susan, I think you are right. I can't stand flying--and it sure would be nice to be in my own little rolling bubble, with snacks I like, my dog, spouse, etc. And stopping when I want! Perhaps we will rent a car for this next trip... oh, tuna sandwich eaters on airplanes and open-mouth cough-ers on public transit (insert eye roll here).

Hi Shanna, how are you? Hope you're well! I love travelling, well used to, as I have got older the long waiting and sitting plus, if you don't really know where you're walking to then that poses it's own problems especially if like me you have problems walking too far!! Then trains, buses!! The list goes on! Hope you enjoyed Antequerra? Madrid too!! Not sure whether I told you, mom passed away just 3 months after my brother. Just my sister and myself now, feeling numb! Take care Shanna and Catherine xx

Hi Anne, nice to hear from you! All's well, here. Sadly, as I mentioned in the above post we didn't get to see Antequera--have you been? And Madrid is always lovely--even for a short trip.

I am so SO sorry to hear about your mum--you hadn't told me. Please take care of you--go easy and be kind to yourself--sending hugs your way!
