We are in the highest tier, tier 3 in England. Much the same as it has been all year. No mixing with other households. My mum is 88 years old and has resigned herself into thinking Christmas will be spent at home alone! Bless her! Days are nearly always the same, take the dog for a walk except she doesn't want to! Do some household chores, check emails, Twitter etc. Same old, same old! Very boring at the moment so not very interesting I'm afraid, still I've got my health (although I'm diabetic!) generally, so we plod on!

Interesting to read about how you’re doing in Portugal. Affirms the saying, “We’re all in this together “ even though thousands of miles away. I think you’ve described very well how we’re all thinking and feeling about the ups and downs of COVID. And Milo is also teaching us that it’s important to notice the small joys in life that COVID hasn’t taken away unless we let it. Take care, Shanna.

Aw Shanna, good sum up of things, however melancholy. You are right, last week the lockdown days were too nice, the Universe seemingly taunting us. This weekend is supposed to be rainy so it won´t seem so bad to stay in, I guess. I have to laugh about your AM routine with Milo. It is exactly the same up here in Porto for us with Jiver! Exactly! Gotta love our fuzzy buddies!

Aguente firme! Take care and stay well.

We have a record number of deaths and hospitalizations here in the US, but no curfew or lockdown. I'm grateful for my home and health. I've been enjoying yoga, walks, cooking, gardening, and reading. I just finished Timothy Egan's A Pilgramage to Eternity - great book! Stay safe and well.
