We will realize how little we need to make a good life
We will continue to share with friends and family, near and far
We will continue to help others, especially those who are frail, lonely, or sick
We will remember that we survived this (although some whom we know didn’t)
We will celebrate our resourcefulness
We will be kind to ourselves and others
We will recognize the gift of our collective vulnerability
We will enjoy spending time alone, instead of seeing it as a less-desirable option
We will finally admit that money won’t buy us happiness
We will continue to wash our hands like it’s a new-found religion
We will practice patience and deepen our understanding of others
We won’t take life, sunsets, starfish (or oh so many things) for granted
We won’t hoard resources
We will have grown through struggle
We won’t return to shopping as a sport or hobby
We won’t live from a place of fear, but from a place love
We will evaluate what’s important and live according to our values
We will refuse to conform to anyone else’s idea of who we should be
Very well written. Especially, allowing others to define you.
Been watching some of your videos and i highly respect what you stand for. It takes a special kind of person to leave everything and start over in a new country by choice.
BTW, i am was born in Portugal ( 20 km from Coimbra......BAIRRADA) and know the country and its people pretty well, but unfortunately never visited Setubal. I was recently widowed, and had plans to visit this summer, with the intention of moving there later. My plans are up in the air. We will see.
Enjoy life there. I especially like your outlook.
