Shanna!! I enjoyed your poetry. It is a reflection of you. We're happy to be in this beautiful town together with you- I can relate to your words, maybe because we're touched by a lot of the same sources of inspiration? Or maybe because our social circle was a matter of the attraction kindred souls?

I do like some poetry but I'm not an avid reader. Some written words really resonate with me personally and I think that's the reason behind liking it. I'm not so fussed about things that I don't associate with. Perhaps a little insular of me, I don't know. I do love reading your words! I'm no intellectual but your words actually say something to me when I read them! I understand what you're saying (not all the time I might add, as I said, I'm no intellectual!) so I continue to read your writings! Take care Shanna! Keep on writing! xx

I’ve never heard of cento poetry before so this was a delightful discovery! I loved how you weaved Patti Smith’s words together to form something new. I may have to try cento myself :)

My introduction to the endless possibilities of poetic expression was through e e cummings’ works during my high school years in the 60’s. His unexpected and unconventional use of words and expression captivated me. You have inspired me to regularly write about my new experiences, adventures, and bewilderments as I begin the next chapters of my life in Portugal. One week into my expat life in Setubal, I realize the importance and value of regularly writing about and recording my emotional and intellectual responses to the significant changes, challenges, surprises, and rewards of living as an expat in Portugal. And so it begins . . .

Beautiful. Cento is a novel recipe that evokes the familiar with a fresh spin. Horses was one of my first albums. Your unexpected state of wonder is an ideal place for poetry creation. You confirm CS Lewis’ reflection that “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind”. Happy for you!

Love it. I turn to it most at the indescribable razor's edges of life-- whether riding a joy wave, as you are now, or at the bottom of despair. I don't write poems myself. Thank you for sharing your Smith inspired cento. xo

I read constantly. I don't enjoy reading poetry but I do like poetry being read, if it's poetry I like. Interestingly, I have seen Patti Smith reading.
