I don't keep too much a track of time but I was having withdrawal symptoms from "life: examined" lol. Glad you had time with your mother and brother. Your piece resonated some notes this week. Thank you for your artful writings.

Happy b-day Shanna!

I can´t believe we have you beat on the minimalism thing! We left or sold most of our belongings when we left Denver. The only reason my favorite art piece is still there is that it was on the wall when the movers came and we forgot about it. We sent it separately and it got returned by Portuguese customs! So it has been to Lisbon and back to Denver. Ugh. Like you, we owe thanks to a good friend for rescuing and storing it for us.

I doubt we will return to Denver. But since my Mom is in Ventura, LA is possible. (No ambivalence for me there, LA sucks!)

But man, I can not get my head around the idea of the torturous flight idea. You are so right about flying! It is Hell. I just can´t do it. My real hope is that we can talk my friend in Denver into coming to visit us here. :)

Take care and bom viagem!

Great to catch up with your moves unexpected Shanna… 👍🏻

The experience you cite about flying are, mostly, the exact reasons we reluctantly stopped doing it many years ago (maybe as many as 13!).

No regrets, having seen as much of the world as my fading memory could handle, we took to a caravan and started touring Europe, with great plans except, pandemic…

I am pleased you managed to have more time with your family, including a birthday, HBD belated… 🎂

Thanks for sharing your life: examined, it’s always an enjoyable read… 👍🏻

Enjoy the hammock!

Hugs,

Rog… x x

Hi Shanna, just getting over my jaunt at the NEC Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show! I did 3 days altogether and I think I drove Andrew to distraction!! I kept bumping into him and he said, Are you following me? even though he came up behind me! But it wasn't deliberate! Anyway, it was really enjoyable but oh so tiring!! Doesn't help that I have to use a walking stick now (I get vertigo!) to stop myself falling over or into someone as I'm walking past them! Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday Shanna!! 21 again?!! I hope your mom is improving after her surgery?! I can't imagine having to fly all that distance! The longest flight I have ever taken is 8 hours to New York a couple of times, that was bad enough! Those seats and leg room leave a lot to be desired! I always have an aisle seat so I can at least stretch one leg out in front of me! Plus, I'm not forever asking someone to move so I can visit the loo!! So you still have items in storage in the US? It's surprising how much 'stuff' you accumulate over a period of time! I am probably one of the worst people for hoarding 'stuff' especially in the kitchen! The gadgets I have bought and never used is nobody's business! I recently sold a lot of stuff on Ebay but I still have a long way to go! Anyway Shanna, you're probably back in Portugal by now and back to seeing Milo! Give him a hug from me and I'll catch you in the next installment! Hugs xx
