This post has me thinking about my own situation and I may be kidding myself that I am even "semi-retired"! I need to consider what this next chapter will look like.

Bom Dia Shannon, I am right there with you. Living in Naples Fl. as an interior designer I have been non-stop right through the pandemic. Instead of 3 jobs at a time, I have 9...The hustle to make more money is not my drive at all but, the need to please and gratify my 1% ers is as my name and reputation are. I had thought my move to PT would involve volunteering and long walks with no phone attached to me. I applaud you, for living your truth!

I’m right there with you. I’ll tell you what the pandemic really shook things up. You know maybe it was meant to happen that way. So many of us myself included seem to take each day for granted. I no longer do that I am grateful every minute of the day and I look forward to enjoying this next chapter of my life. I have some financials I need to get in order and then I’ll be there. Have a great week🧜‍♀️🌻

Hi Shanna! These weeks just fly by! I haven't spoken to you for a couple of weeks! I've now retired, I worked all my adult life from 16, full time with a couple of little breaks. I think I mentioned before that we lived in Spain for 9 years, I didn't work all of the time but at this time of year, I'm glad I didn't! Couldn't live or work in that heat now I'm older! Debilitating isn't the word! It's been quite warm here this week, probably not as hot as Portugal but enough for here!

I worked from home in my last job, well I ran a website selling sugar free items (I'm diabetic) Couldn't obtain the same amount of products in the UK as I could in Spain so I decided to start doing it myself. It was very successful for a while, then more businesses started selling the same products (Amazon included). I had worked all my life so I thought I'd finally retire and I've enjoyed it, apart from the last year and a half!! But I do miss the buzz and the satisfaction I got from selling!! Hubby still works so not a worry about money at the mo! It will probably be very hard for people who worked from home this past year and now have to struggle with traffic in the rush hour, being nice and comfy instead of a clinical office and no office politics!! No change for me! You seem to be a lot happier with your new life, the cost of living is lower so you just enjoy it! You have many friends & your health is probably a lot better! Take care, give Milo a hug and see you in the next one! xx

One of my goals, once I get there is to finish my book! I hope I can hire you to edit it!! My grammar skills are pathetic. Especially considering I have a BA in Communication😱 Hopefully we will be having these discussions in person in the not too distant future??

Thank you for this, Shanna. I'm in the midst of rewriting a script myself. I let go of the social media aspect of my work early this year. I'm trying my hand at writing a children's book, continuing to dabble in poetry, and putting into practice some of David Whyte's pearls, such as (related to self-compassion) "Stop the conversation because we want to drink from a deeper well..."
